The working principle of medical ultrasound examination is similar to that of sonar. Ultrasound is emitted into the human body. When it meets the interface in the body, it will reflect and refract, and it may be absorbed and attenuated in human tissues. Because the shape and structure of human tissues are different, the degree of reflection, refraction and absorption of ultrasound are also different. Doctors distinguish them by the waveform, curve or image characteristics reflected by the instrument. In addition, combined with anatomical knowledge, normal and pathological changes, we can diagnose whether the organs examined are diseased or not. At present, ultrasound diagnosis methods used by doctors have different forms, which can be divided into four types: A, B, M and D. Type A: The method of displaying tissue characteristics by waveform is mainly used to measure the diameter of organs to determine their size. It can be used to identify some physical characteristics of lesion tissue, such as the presence of substance, liquid or gas, etc. Type B: Use the graphic form to show the specific situation of the organization being explored. When examining, the reflective signal of human body interface is first transformed into light spots of different intensity, which can be displayed by fluorescent screen. This method is intuitive, repeatable and can be compared before and after. Therefore, it is widely used in gynecology and obstetrics, urinary, digestive and cardiovascular diseases diagnosis. M-type: It is a method for observing the time change of active interface. It is most suitable for examining the activity of the heart. The dynamic change of its curve is called echocardiography. It can be used to observe the position, activity and structure of the heart's various layers, and is often used to assist the diagnosis of heart and macrovascular diseases. Type D: Ultrasound diagnostic method, also known as Doppler ultrasound diagnostic method, is specially used to detect blood flow and organ activity. It can determine whether the blood vessel is unobstructed, whether the lumen is narrowed, occluded and the location of the lesion. A new generation of D-mode ultrasound can also quantitatively measure the blood flow in the lumen. In recent years, scientists have developed a color coded Doppler system, which can display the direction of blood flow with different colors under the guidance of the anatomical markers of echocardiography. The depth of color represents the velocity of blood flow. Now there are three-dimensional ultrasound imaging, ultrasound CT, ultrasound endoscopy and other ultrasound technology emerging, and can also be used in combination with other inspection instruments, so that the accuracy of disease diagnosis is greatly improved. Ultrasound technology is playing a tremendous role in the medical field. With the progress of science, it will be more perfect and will benefit mankind better.
